Tracee was beyond thankful to her friend Kylar Broadus for giving her mother, according to her mother BW, “Bragging rights to family and friends that her baby was invited to the White House."
The extension of such a surrealistic and humbling opportunity was the most transforming, almost outer-body experience, while discussing Employment/ Economic Equity and how Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming women of color are affected by the existing inequities.
Trace has expressed how inspired she was by being reunited with other colleagues on the battlefield for human and civil rights, and then meeting some other amazingly beautiful and powerful sisters also fighting for justice and equity on that momentous morning.
Tracee said it never occurred to her that someday she’d be attending the White House, and for of all things, specifically discussing the humanity, needs and concerns of Trans women of color in these United States.
Another highlight during that momentous time in Washington, DC was visiting the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial for the very first time.
