APD ACADEMY TRAINING

Tracee has served on several APD Advisory Boards providing Cultural Competency and New Recruit Training for the Atlanta Police Department.

Tracee has also had a seat at the table and assisted with developing the Atlanta Police Department Standard Operating Procedures curriculum, which is the adopted blueprint training used by APD Officers that should be followed whenever interacting with Trans people.

Additionally, on April 15, 2026 she never imagined that she'd spent her weekend being handcuffed and detained by APD.

What had happened was, it all went down on a morning after being invited by APD TLGBQ Liaisons CJ Murphy and Acashia K-Kay to participate in police interaction scenarios.

During that training, ,she was informed that the APD POLICE ACADEMY has never before used outside civilians to assist with recruit training.

She was eternally grateful for the opportunity to educate prospective police officers how to appropriately and professionally interact with our diverse community.

When it's all said and done, we're all human-beings and should at all times be treated with dignity and respect.
