Tracee's Performance Artist Alter-Ego Destiny Your Mistress of illusions gets up close and personal with the Boss Diana Ross.
After impersonating Diana Ross for just over four years or so, Tracee was in the right place at the right time to have been a featured background singer for legendary superstar, icon and living legend Diana Ross.
When Tracee's Alter-Ego Destiny Your Mistress of Illusions was hired on the spot and then hand-selected by veteran producer Marty Callner to be Miss Ross’ Rehearsal Stand-In during Diana Ross’ 1996 “I Will Survive” music video shoot that shut down Santa Monica Boulevard for a “Night of a Thousand Diana's”.
Destiny’s Call-Time was three that afternoon and due to the LA traffic, Destiny made sure to have arrived on set at least an hour and a half before her Call Time, so that she’d be adjusted to her environment before the action began.
Finally, when they’d came face to face when Miss Ross joined the rehearsals and when Miss Ross placed her hands to her head and exclaimed, “Oh my,,,You look just like me.”, it was the ultimate acknowledgement of Destiny’s tremendous talents and validated the hours upon hours and years of Destiny studying Miss Ross, so that she’d capture her essence and nuances during Destiny’s sold-out performances.
The music video lasted well after three that following morning and Destiny fondly recalling helping Miss Ross glue back on her Press On Nails, in addition to massaging each other’s sore feet in between re-sets.
After that once in a lifetime moment, in addition to working steadily for well over two decades, Destiny continued her trailblazing career touring with La Cage Aux Folles, Beverly Hills and then ultimately starring in solo extravaganzas that included, but not limited to her standing room only exclusive 1996 engagement “Call Her Miss Ross” at the Love Lounge in West Hollywood, Ca, and she then set the bar higher during her solo “Evening With Destiny” at the world famous Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip also in Los Angeles.
Tracee’s Alter-Ego Destiny Your Mistress of Illusions has been retired from her Performance Artist entertainment career for well over two decades to date.
